Silvia & Peter Lendi erboristi S.A.
1983 Silvia and Peter Lendi started to cultivate organic herbs in the Onsernone valley.
Since the beginning we transformed in our own firm the herbs to teas und spice mixtures, which fell on a great echo with organic shops and our private clients.
The steep valley and the strong plotting of the agricultural soils offered only restrictive possibilities for a development. In 1991 we moved to the Malcantone and cultivated on a much extended surface our organic herbs. At the same time we arranged a professional herb transformation plant and hired collaborators.
In 1995 the individual company was converted into a public limited company. Ever since the company evolved continuously to become an important partner for the retail sellers as well as the food industry. With the growing sales we made an enormous effort on the acquisition side to buy the raw materials from small producers directly in the country of origin. In parallel we were able to continuously increase the exports.
Starting 2001 we work in a modern production plant with standardized work procedures.
Since 2008 we hold to the International Food Standard (IFS).
2015 we changed to ISO 22000 fssc.
In 2005 Silvia & Peter Lendi received the PrixBio for their merits in the area of organic herbs and spice production in combination with knowledge transfer and worldwide fair-trade.
