We are a specialized company for organic herbs, spices, tea, dried vegetables, dried fruits and essential oils and extracts. For the industry we have a large range of raw material on stock. On contract basis we can procure many other products. For the gastronomy we have a large range of drink chocolate, Chocolate-couverture, teabags and spice salts.

For the retail sellers we have a broad range of products in tea, herbs, spices, dried vegetable, soy sauce, chestnut products and other specialties in organic quality.

We work worldwide with groups of producers and collectors.
We can provide you hundreds of different products in organic quality if your quantitative needs allow an economic handling.

Processing

In his 30 years of existence, Erboristi Lendi has created a network with suppliers of small farmer groups of all over the world. They are all certified organic and often also Fair Trade (FLO and/or Naturland Fair).

BIO & FAIR
We only trade with raw materials from organic agriculture and try to live the basic idea of organic cultivation in our own company and to make it comprehensible for our clients and the producers. The small producers in the southern countries are the weakest element in the commercial chain.
We dedicate them our special attention. We would like to involve them in a long term relationship transfering them our knowledge and professional skills.

“Our history”

Silvia & Peter Lendi erboristi S.A.

1983 Silvia and Peter Lendi started to cultivate organic herbs in the Onsernone valley.
Since the beginning we transformed in our own firm the herbs to teas und spice mixtures, which fell on a great echo with organic shops and our private clients.

The steep valley and the strong plotting of the agricultural soils offered only restrictive possibilities for a development. In 1991 we moved to the Malcantone and cultivated on a much extended surface our organic herbs. At the same time we arranged a professional herb transformation plant and hired collaborators.

In 1995 the individual company was converted into a public limited company. Ever since the company evolved continuously to become an important partner for the retail sellers as well as the food industry. With the growing sales we made an enormous effort on the acquisition side to buy the raw materials from small producers directly in the country of origin. In parallel we were able to continuously increase the exports.

Starting 2001 we work in a modern production plant with standardized work procedures.
Since 2008 we hold to the International Food Standard (IFS).
2015 we changed to ISO 22000 fssc.

In 2005 Silvia & Peter Lendi received the PrixBio for their merits in the area of organic herbs and spice production in combination with knowledge transfer and worldwide fair-trade.
